Our positive-first dog training encourages good behavior through fun, informative lessons led by expert dog trainers. 

Swanky Paws Dog School  is a 12-week comprehensive program that teaches you and your dog basic obedience skills, enrichment activities, and fun games so that you can create that unbreakable bond. Dog School is all about education for pets and pet parents. With our flexible, 3-day-a-week schedule, you drop your dog off for training and daycare in the morning and pick up after 3 PM. We provide you with a training workbook that details every exercise and how to do your homework- by playing with your dog! You’s also get a great Dog School tote bag with your basic required equipment, trainging treats, and toys! You’ll have access to a community of support through our private Dog School Facebook group. You can also view videos of your dog’s daily training and ask questions or post your own successes.The Dog School curriculum is designed to grow with your dog, continually introducing new, exciting activities to your dog, while constantly reinforcing the good behaviors that make a happy home.

Day Training is an immersion training session during which your dog gets to work with the training team multiple times throughout the day. This is especially great for dogs that are going to be left home or sent to daycare nad need more structure and attention. Several shorter, concentrated sessions over the course of the day enable your dog to learn and retain basic behaviors. 

Grooming Training is for any dog who has been told they were naughty for grooming, the veterinarian, or any other circumstance where your dog needs to be handled by strangers in a strange environment. It involves helping your dog feel safe while slowly introducing the handling and tools that are used in a professional setting. Our goal with Grooming Training is that your dog be comfortable and confident enough to be safely handled by your favorite groomer or vet. Grooming Training is customizable for each dog, but we do recommend several sessions over the course of 2-3 weeks for best results. Discount packages are available.  *Swanky Paws believes that all of your dog’s service providers should work together to provide the best experience. Consultation fees for Grooming Training may be waived or reduced if we are able to have a conversation with your vet or groomer.

Private Lessons are available for a more specialized program. Our trainers will develop a training program based on your dog’s one of a kind personality, demeanor, and needs. Private Lessons may be taken at our facility in Lawrenceville or in your home. Talk to the trainers to see which setting will best benefit your dog.

Boarding Training is an intensive training program during which your dog spends several weeks with us, to address any issues that need concentrated, professional training. Boarding Training requires a real commitment from you, as the pet parent, to follow up and practice commands and behaviors your dog has learned, either by practicing daily at home, or following up with regular visits to Day Training and Private Lessons.

All dogs must complete an evaluation with the trainer before beginning any training program, to determine which training strategies are appropriate for your dog. While no single training method is correct for every single dog, the Swanky Paws Training team will work with you and your furry friend to understand what works best to help you communicate and create a plan that works with your lifestyle.

We offer a safe, fun environment where dogs can learn the skills they need for safety and comfort in all situations. For dogs that need intensive training, we also offer board and train options.

We know you are busy, and we understand the need to accommodate your busy schedule, even if that means evening or weekend appointments. We also offer private lessons in your home, at the dog park, or at another location that best suits you.
